White Box: Film adaptation; we need YOU!

Hello, all aspiring actors and film enthusiasts! My producers and I have a very exciting project in the works, and we need your help to make it a reality. If you read the short story "White Box" and loved it as much as I did, this should be right up your alley.

We're currently working to adapt the aforementioned piece of fiction into a short film starring humans. The original plot of the story and all its elements will be intact, however. We've got equipment, a camera crew, producers, a director and a script. However, we lack one of the most important elements: a female lead.

We want this film to be all it can be, and thus we decided to break down and have open an open casting session. We already have a male lead, but we're still on the hunt for that elusive actress.

So, if you're interested, here's the info:

1) Audition and filming location: San Diego, CA (exact audition details to be determined)

2) Time frame: Auditions will occur within the next six weeks; filming is set to begin shortly afterward, either in mid-May or early June.

3) Female lead requirements: Must appear to be between the ages of eighteen and twenty-five, preferably dark haired. Must have transportation and availability on weekends. (contact me with any questions regarding requirements)

4) Contact info: (email): Joshuameihaus@gmail.com (contact me for further details regarding the exact date of auditions and shoots)

While we're only looking for one individual in the way of actors, if there's any other way you think you can help out, don't hesitate to contact me. If you've got any non-acting skills (behind the scenes stuff like logistics, musical, artistic or video-editing experience), you could likely be a great help.

Let's go and make this the best project it can be!

  2. Holy shit! This is awesome. Is the author involved in this too? Will the character names be the same, or will it be human names? I doubt there's much I can help at the moment, other than maybe give criticism? I just wanted to discuss about this.

So did you get a female lead?
